Null Pointer Exception if output directory does not exist

Description

It was not possible to generate any artifacts. The given information does not explain anything.

There should be more information about the exception - no stacktrace, etc. See attachment.

I am using HibernateTools-3.2.0.beta9a.zip and ran into this exact problem. I assumed the directory would be created if it didn't exist, as I was still able to run the tool. I also got the mysterious null pointer exception. IMO, the tool shouldn't be allowed to run if the folder doesn't exist, or the exception should be caught, and a more meaningful error reported to the user.
