Regarding the name, I find nothing obtuse about it. It tells me the name and version of the software, eg: Hibernate Validator 4.1.0.Final

Hi Ed,

you can always use the latest 4.2 SNAPSHOT from here - https://repository.jboss.org/nexus/content/repositories/public/org/hibernate/hibernate-validator/4.2.0-SNAPSHOT/
The first beta release of 4.2 depends currently on the completion of HV-347.

Thanks for your prompt treatment of this issue. Can you please point me to where I can find information on the release schedule for the version into which this was committed?

Also, may I suggest that you change the version identifier to include the words "Bean Validation" somewhere? Perhaps "Bean Validation - Hibernate Validator <version string>"? My management has indicated they find the lone "Hibernate Validator" obtuse. Adding Bean Validation to the string might make it more clear.

Thanks,

Ed
